New Features
Continuous Background Audio: You can now add background audio to your courses that plays continuously across slides and layers. This can create an immersive experience for your learners and set the mood for your content. You can also let learners turn off the background audio if they prefer.
Video Transcripts: You can now generate synchronized video transcripts from closed captions to make your visual content accessible to all learners, including those who rely on screen readers, use braille displays, or prefer to read. You can also customize the appearance and behavior of the transcript panel.
Publish to Reach 360: You can now publish your Storyline 360 courses directly to Reach 360âa lightweight distribution tool that lets you deploy your e-learning content to more learners, including deskless workers, contractors, and customers. You can also track learner progress and completion with Reach 360 reports.
Accessible Question Feedback Layers: You can now create question feedback layers that meet color, contrast, and focus guidelines by default. This makes your quizzes more accessible and compliant with WCAG standards. You can also apply a feedback master to multiple question slides at once to save time and ensure consistency.
Time-Based Triggers: You can now create triggers based on minutes and seconds instead of only seconds. This makes it easier to set up time-based interactions and animations in your courses.
Streaming Video Support: You can now deliver video content to all learners, regardless of their internet speed. Storyline 360 automatically optimizes the video quality based on the learner's bandwidth and device. You can also include closed captions when publishing projects as MP4 video files.
Bug Fixes
Crash when adding conditions or publishing to Word: We fixed an issue where Storyline 360 could crash when adding conditions to triggers or publishing courses to Word.
Screen reader issues: We fixed some issues where screen readers skipped some objects on layers and unexpectedly changed the state of some hyperlinks.
Audio and video issues: We fixed some issues where audio could cause buffering of slides and courses with videos might not load in Safari.
Theme color issues: We fixed some issues where shapes didn't always inherit the new theme color choice and the correct feedback layer didnât inherit font and color changes from the feedback master.
Text-to-speech issues: We fixed an issue where text-to-speech narration included the word \"dot\" when it exceeded 1,000 characters.
Slider issues: We fixed an issue where sliders continued to work when they were disabled.
Engage 360 interaction issues: We fixed an issue where changes made to Engage 360 interactions didn't display in the published output.
